UTEP has increased student tuition by approximately 70 percent since 2004 and a new increase is on its way. But even with the rise in fees, students are still complaining that they have not been getting the necessary equipment for some of their classes. This semester, Alyssa De La Rosa, junior chemistry major, is taking a science lab that does not have enough equipment for students to perform their lab assignments.

Despite early game struggles, the UTEP men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 70-52 win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff Nov. 18 at the Don Haskins Center. The win marked the seventh straight year that the team has won its first two games.
