Mickael Hanany aims to capture a medal in his first trip to the games

One World, One Dream is the slogan for the 2008 Olympic Games, hosted by China. Three UTEP student-athletes and one former Miner are the embodiment of this sentiment as they represent UTEP and their countries at the Olympics.
The track and field athletes invited to the games are senior Halimat Ismaila, sophomore Blessing Okagbare, senior Mickael Hanany, and former Miner Oludamola Osayomi.

The El Paso Diablos have come out in the second half of the season firing on all cylinders and taking 12 out of the 18 games. After having their last homestand series cut short due to inclement weather, the Diablos came back home after wrapping up a 4-2 road trip for a short three-game stint before heading back out on the road.
Boxing knocks its way to the borderland

The Fort Bliss Morale, Welfare and Recreation department is putting on a Boxing Border Rumble that will showcase about 15 to 20 bouts with three one-minute rounds. The boxing event is one of the many sporting events sponsored by the Fort Bliss MWR to keep soldiers fit while having fun.
