Jeremy Renner out of surgery for chest and leg injuries following snow plow accident

Update 01/03/2022: Jeremy Renner, star of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and hockey, is out of surgery but in intensive care following a snow plow accident.

Reported by VarietyWith Renner in a critical but stable condition, it has now been confirmed that the star suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses who cared for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hilary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families,” Renner’s spokesperson read in a statement. “They are very happy and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

Original story 01/02/2022: Hockey’s Jeremy Renner is in “critical but stable” condition after being involved in a snow plowing accident near Reno, Nevada.

Reported by various, Renner’s rep confirmed the news and shared that the MCU actor is in good hands.

“We can confirm that Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries after suffering a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” Renner’s rep said. “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

Officers with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a “traumatic” injury near Mount Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada on Sunday, January 1, around 9 a.m.

“Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner to a local area hospital via maintenance flight. Mr. Renner was the only person involved in the incident.”

No further details were provided, but the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team is “currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.”

Renner owns a home in Washoe County, and has for many years message 4, A major snowstorm hit the district on New Year’s Eve and more than 31,000 people lost power.

Renner first appeared in the MCU as Hawkeye in 2011’s Thor, and was one of the stars of the first Avengers movie. In 2022, she starred in the Disney+ series Hockey alongside Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop.
