The Avalanche on Monday completed its second sweep of the top three sevens, advancing to the Stanley Cup final for the first time since winning all of 2001, beating the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 in extra time.

Landescock and McKinnon tied behind Smith 4-4 at 8:58 and 13:30. Landescock made the buck chip in the net during a chaotic moment in Greece and McKinnon beat Smith by a top-shelf wrist shot.

The Avs had a 1-0 lead and dominated early in the second period, before the Oilers equalized with a goal from Zack Hyman, then doubled twice 1-1 to take a 3-1 lead. Third.
